What to expect
- The therapist checks your skin and chooses the products and intensity.
- Skin is cleansed and exfoliated, with extraction if appropriate, followed by serum and moisturiser.
How it feels
A light suction or dragging sensation with wet, cooling passes. Extractions or acid steps can sting.
Downtime
Many people return to normal plans immediately. Redness or sensitivity can follow suction, acids or extractions and may take longer to settle on reactive skin.
Results
When you might see a change. A smoother, moisturised look may be visible straight away. This is a surface cosmetic effect.
How long it might last. The effect is temporary and depends on the method and your skin. A single session does not establish long-term skin improvement.
How often?
Can be a one-off. If you enjoy the result, occasional repeats may suit you; the clinic may suggest roughly monthly visits, but frequency should reflect tolerance and the exact products.
Before your appointment
- Check the exact facial and whether it includes acids or extraction.
- Mention allergies, retinoids, recent procedures and pregnancy so products can be checked.
Aftercare
- Avoid further exfoliation while skin is sensitive.
- Keep moisturiser and sun protection simple; get a restart plan for your usual products.
Is it right for everyone?
Active rashes, sunburn, infection or very fragile skin need assessment. Some acid ingredients may be unsuitable for you.
Common reasons people book
- Surface dryness
- Congested-feeling skin
- A smoother makeup base
What your practitioner will confirm
A Hydrafacial booking must use that system. A generic hydration facial may involve different steps and cannot inherit branded result claims.
Treatment details are a general guide. Your practitioner will confirm what is suitable for you, the exact treatment plan and aftercare.
